This procedure begins with the patient and the doctor deciding on the desired eyebrow shape during a consultation. Anesthesia is applied to the area where the procedure will take place.
Hair follicles harvested from the scalp are placed in very small channels created in the skin to ensure there are no visible marks, and a natural appearance is achieved. The procedure takes approximately 2-3 hours, and the first washing is done by our specialist two days after the procedure.
After the eyebrow transplantation, the area may experience slight peeling and redness for 7 days. The transplanted area typically heals within 7-8 days. Complete growth of the transplanted eyebrows takes three to six months. While a second procedure is not usually necessary, an evaluation of progress is made at the end of six months, and if needed, a second session is planned one year later.
Eyelash transplantation, like eyebrow transplantation, involves taking healthy hair follicles from the donor area on the scalp and transplanting them to the eyelash area. The grafts taken from the hair are placed in the eyelash area using a specific technique. Unlike hair and eyebrow transplants, eyelash transplantation doesn’t involve creating channels first; the grafts are placed simultaneously with the channels. After the transplantation, keeping the transplanted area moist with antibiotic cream is important. Some bruising and swelling around the eyes may occur for 3-4 days. Within 8 days, patients can return to their normal social life. The transplanted grafts start to grow visibly in 3-6 months, and initially, the growing lashes may need to be trimmed to the desired length. Over time, the rate of lash growth slows down.
